Koch Park
Another great park in the neighborhood of Forest Hills is Koch Park, located on a culde-sac on Atlantic Avenue. Koch Park, honoring former Mayor Koch, is one of the borough’s smaller parks, but boasts of amenities that are just as grand as the larger park in Forest Hills. As you drive up to Koch Park, you notice the well-manicured homes on Atlantic and at the end of the street, you can’t help but notice how well the scenery blends with the foliage and landscaping – a perfect place to have that special get-together with family and friends. The playground equipment is some of the best there is to offer, and while the kids are busy at the playground, adults can play a game of horseshoes. Located near the two playground areas, is a large shelter available to rent that awaits visitors for a day of grilling and just relaxing on the six picnic tables located inside the shelter. Beyond the shelter there is a small pickleball court, and if that isn’t enough exercise for you, there is also a softball field to help build up an appetite before the hot dogs and hamburgers are ready. This is another another great Forest Hills community location, if you and your family want to enjoy a quiet and fun-filled day.
